Overview
This is an OSS Academy® Exigent Circumstances online training course offered for Peace Officers, Jailers, and Telecommunicators.
An often quoted Supreme Court saying is …Officers are often forced to make split-second judgments in circumstances that are tense, uncertain and rapidly evolving.
Most people would probably agree that officers who encounter exigent circumstances should be permitted to do whatever is reasonably necessary to quickly defuse what is confronting them. The courts understand that officers must act quickly when they are facing an emergency, but they impose on officers a duty to act responsibly.
This course is designed to aid you in better understanding the various aspects of exigent circumstances, what is reasonable, and what is allowable and not so in an emergency.
Please note, the entire course final exam(s), and course evaluation(s) must be completed in order to receive one (1) hour of course credit.
Note, this particular storefront listing is not the TCOLE accredited course. To purchase the TCOLE accredited Exigent Circumstances course, click here.

Overview
This is the Texas Commission on Law Enforcement (TCOLE) elective Fentanyl & Law Enforcement Response #2024 online training course for Texas Peace Officers, Jailers, and Telecommunicators.
Fentanyl is a prescription drug and a synthetic opioid with the same effects as morphine but much more potent. Because it is so potent and readily available, the cartels use fentanyl and its analogs as an additive (cut into) to heroin and other controlled substances.

What Is Fentanyl?
Law Enforcement Response to Fentanyl
Fentanyl Task Forces
Whether patrolling the highways in our western United States, walking the beats of major cities, or patrolling small-town USA, we hope this course will help protect you and your fellow officers while providing the steps to take if you are exposed to fentanyl.
Please note, the entire course, final exam(s), and course evaluation(s) must be completed in order to receive four (4) hours of course credit.

Overview
This is an OSS Academy® Field Sobriety Testing online training course offered for Peace Officers, Jailers, and Telecommunicators.
The need to remove intoxicated drivers from our roadways is a major priority for law enforcement management. Efforts to enforce intoxication laws face many obstacles. Among these obstacles is the difficulty of identifying likely offenders on the highway. Standardized Field Sobriety Testing (SFST) prepares officers and other qualified persons to administer and interpret the results of the SFST battery of tests. This training has experienced remarkable success in detecting and apprehending intoxicated drivers since the 1980s. This course outlines the key elements and applications of SFST.
