TCOLE Peace Officer & Open Carry Training #8837 – Now Online

By OSS Academy Staff | Thu, 31 Dec 2015

OSS Academy is proud to announce the launching of our new Texas Commission on Law Enforcement (TCOLE) Peace Officer & Open Carry Training #8837 online training course.

During 2015, the Texas Legislature passed House Bill 910, Senate Bill 11, and other new laws developing new rights (beginning on January 1, 2016) that allow a handgun license holder to “open carry” a handgun in a shoulder or belt holster.

Also, Senate Bill 11 allows a handgun license holder to, with exceptions, carry a concealed handgun on a college campus (beginning on August 1, 2016).

The new laws and revisions are broad, altering not just the Texas Penal Code, but also the Texas Government Code.

OSS Academy recommends detailed study for a thorough understanding. We have developed a Peace Officer & Open Carry Training #8837 online training course. Our new 2-hour course addresses state laws and local authority over the regulation of firearms in Texas and contains extensive material you can download and retain.

With more courses under development, OSS Academy® currently offers both Basic, Intermediate, and 100+ elective TCOLE Peace Officer, Jailer, and Telecommunicator courses online.
