By Jamie Aldridge, LE Powerhouse | Tue, 24 Jun 2014

OSS Academy® is proud to announce the launching of the new Texas Commission on Law Enforcement [TCOLE] mandatory New Supervisor (First-Line) #3737 online training course offered for Texas Peace Officers and Telecommunicators.

It is essential for new police officer supervisors to understand the fundamentals of effective supervision because their role significantly impacts team performance, officer development, and overall department efficiency. Supervisors are responsible for guiding and mentoring junior officers, ensuring they follow policies and procedures, and maintaining accountability within the team. Effective supervision helps foster a positive work environment, reduces misconduct, and promotes professionalism. Moreover, supervisors are often the first line of defense in handling issues such as officer stress, conflict resolution, and public relations. Understanding how to be a supervisor enables them to manage these responsibilities with confidence, ensuring the safety and success of their officers and the community they serve.

This New Supervisor (First-Line) #3737 online training course is forty (40) hours in length and costs only $90.
