TCOLE Interpersonal Communications in Corrections #3503 Now Online
By Jamie Aldridge, LE Powerhouse | Thu, 4 Sep 2014
OSS Academy® is proud to announce the launching of the new Texas Commission on Law Enforcement [TCOLE] Interpersonal Communications in Corrections #3503 online training course offered for Texas Jailers.
Jailers must understand the importance of interpersonal communication skills in a correctional environment because effective communication is key to maintaining order, reducing conflicts, and ensuring safety. In a setting where tensions can run high, jailers who can communicate clearly, calmly, and respectfully are more likely to de-escalate potential incidents before they become serious. Strong communication skills help build rapport with inmates, encouraging cooperation and compliance, which reduces the need for physical interventions. Additionally, effective communication fosters a more professional and respectful atmosphere, enhancing trust among staff and contributing to a more secure and positive correctional environment.
This Interpersonal Communications in Corrections #3503 online training course is sixteen (16) hours in length and costs only $45.
