Overview
This is a Texas Commission on Law Enforcement (TCOLE) Vehicle Pursuits online training course offered for Texas Peace Officers, Jailers, and Telecommunicators.
Who doesn’t love a great car chase? Movies where the police chase the bad guys are exciting, with lots of car wrecks, sparks, flames, storefronts getting destroyed with cars driving down the sidewalks, and ultimately, the movie stars get out of the vehicle and walk away. Like most things we see in the movies, reality is much, much different. This course addresses many of the realities of actual vehicle pursuits, including what we really know about pursuits, the controlling case law, policies and procedures, decision making and tactical dynamics.
Please note, the entire course final exam(s), and course evaluation(s) must be completed in order to receive one (1) hour of course credit.

Overview
This is a Texas Commission on Law Enforcement (TCOLE) elective Vehicle Searches online training course offered for Texas Peace Officers, Jailers, and Telecommunicators.
It is 3:00 a.m., you are patrolling on the highway that runs through your district. You observe a moving vehicle that you suspect may have committed, is about to commit, or is committing a crime. What does the Constitution allow you to do in regard to legally stopping this vehicle? Under what conditions can you legally search the vehicle, its occupants, or its contents? If you are not sure of the answers to these questions, then this course is for you. This course is designed to help guide an officer through the difficult process of determining what the Fourth Amendment allows with regard to stopping and/or searching vehicles, occupants and containers. Officers are called upon everyday to make decisions about whether or not they can stop a particular vehicle, order the occupants out of the vehicle, or legally search the occupants and the vehicle. The purpose of this course is to assist officers in understanding the rulings of the Supreme Court that will help them make decisions that are consistent with the Fourth Amendment rulings when searching vehicles and occupants.
Please note, the entire course final exam(s), and course evaluation(s) must be completed in order to receive one (1) hour of course credit.

Overview
This is a Texas Commission on Law Enforcement (TCOLE) Witness Credibility online training course offered for Texas Peace Officers, Jailers, and Telecommunicators.
A police investigator’s job is not to simply collect evidence. Comparatively speaking, that is the early and easy part of the job. The taxing part comes after much of the evidence has been collected. The investigator must then begin to analyze the facts in combination with the evidence to determine if a crime occurred, what methods were used, and to identify the perpetrators. Rarely in an investigation does all of the evidence point solely in one direction, but even when it does, the investigator must still establish probable cause before charges are filed.
Please note, the entire course final exam(s), and course evaluation(s) must be completed in order to receive one (1) hour of course credit.
