Overview
This is an OSS Academy® Demonstrations & Events - Part I - Lawful elective course in an online training format for Peace Officers, Jailers, and Telecommunicators.
The goal of any law enforcement agency faced with a lawful demonstration is to apply the appropriate level of direction and control, with the mutually supporting objectives of protecting life, property, and critical infrastructure, and maintaining public peace and order while upholding the participants’ constitutional rights of free speech and assembly. The purpose of this course is to learn how to apply that process.
Please note, the entire course final exam(s), and course evaluation(s) must be completed in order to receive one (1) hour of course credit.
NOTE: This is not a TCOLE accredited course.
