City of Belton Police Officers
The City of Belton will send you to the police academy!
Beginning Salary: $37,992 – $39,915 DOQ ($30,000 for Cadet while in the Academy)
$3,000 hiring incentive for certified, experienced officers
The City of Belton is currently accepting applications for Police Officer positions. You do not have to be certified by the Texas Commission on Law Enforcement (TCOLE) to apply. Non certified applicants who are hired will be required to attend a regional police academy at the City’s expense and be paid while attending the academy.
A $3,000 hiring incentive may be offered to those applicants with both certification and experience. Applicants with eligible prior police service in other law enforcement agencies may be eligible to receive a starting salary higher than entry level.
Applicants must pass a written and physical exam to be administered on Friday, March 14, 2014, at 8:00 am – Belton Police Department.
