Overview
This Evading Honesty® (Triple I Solutions®) elective online training course is offered by OSS Academy® for Peace Officers, Jailers, and Telecommunicators.
Designed by Shawn and Brandon of Triple I Solutions®, who based on their expertise, reviewed thousands of their own videos and cases to determine a set of factors that are present in those who are being deceptive during contact with Law Enforcement Officers. Utilizing their expertise in rapid behavioral analysis, statement analysis and years of experience, they were able to identify certain triggers that can be implemented to determine the level of deception in an interview. Knowing that the legal system always requires the officer to be able to justify the detention based on factors that are abnormal, their course is designed to give the officers the tool they need to address this issue and win a suppression hearing that questions the length of detention and reasonable suspicion. Objective
Learn important personal attributes (Self-Evaluation), such as Student/Officer personalities, learning styles and how each Student/Officer interprets communications components when in contact with others.
Learn the five basic elements that are triggers for deceptive behavior, when on a traffic stop.
Understand the Evading Honesty® System’s components and be able to effectively observe deceptive behaviors related to triggers.
Understand that behaviors associated with deception are a result of fear being introduced and will be able to effectively apply specific topic questions to illicit any deceptive responses.
Learn various Verbal, Non-Verbal, and Contextual indicators associated with deception.
Learn about behavioral cautions that are often associated with deception, but are not necessarily indicative of deception.
Student/Officer will be exposed to several case studies, which show the presenters engaged with suspects who exhibit various deceptive behaviors learned.
